Thought experiment: what would your dream ace community look like?

Developing personality. You will be the most boring and ignored person if all you have is your identity.

Identity is what you are, not who you are.

Very true. That would imply opening the community to the outside world right? After all just because someone isn't ace doesnt mean aces can't relate to them.

I have tried to give life coach lessons to socially awkward  Aces. This is probably the most pressing problem within the Ace community. This need is dispensed by social media. Ain't no substitute for IRL re-action.

What if they are too socially incompetent for successful irl interactions?

Then it should be encouraged, not forced. One of the first lessons is the ability to listen. Strangely,  this trait can get you the impression of being a good conversationalist ! Listen first, pause (never interrupt), then respond.

A good life lesson 🙂

Could I get into what it would be like physically?

Never mind. I see the question regards an online community.

Physically like offline? Yes of course.

Online forum that also met in RL sometimes.

Minimal censorship except illegal stuff and personal abuse (no wrong think)

Lots of variety on all subjects, talk about anything

Not just aces - loads of ace-related sexualities too, plus a few others

Not keen on the "ace related sexualities part" as there are none.  You are asexual or not, everything else is a version of sexual identity.

Whilst I agree (I have a very, very strict definition of ace), I think there are some sexualities which face similar enough interaction problems with the outside world that they function largely as ace.  I divide it into 'complete' asexuals (actual asexuals) and 'effective' asexuals (sexuals, but with a sexuality that provides them with enough of an overlap with aces that it's practical for them to be part of the community/ use the label in non-specialist encounters).

I see what you are saying but, there are only aces.

Trans I've felt most have never been asexual but given the emotional roller coaster they face daily and the difficulty of obtaining a partner, have often found a a resting place within asexuality that should never be removed. We've mentioned before that the largest group of faux asexuals seems to be between 16-24.

In that situation a "stuck in the middle" or sexual allies would provide a home
